Stage 2 Drought Restrictions are in Effect

The City of Corpus Christi has reduced its drought restrictions from Stage 3 to Stage 2 following recent rainfall and significant improvements in regional reservoir levels.

As a South Texas Water Authority wholesale customer who ultimately receives water from the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces Water Supply Corporation will also follow the updated Stage 2 Drought Contingency Plan restricitons.

Under Stage 2, customers may water lawns once every two weeks, before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m.  Vehicle washing is also permitted using a bucket or a handheld hose equipped with an automatic shutoff nozzle.

While these improved conditions are welcome news, our region remains in drought conditions.  We encourage all customers to continue using water responsibly and to make conservation part of their everyday routine.
